Our free Hold for Pickup option allows your package to be securely held at your local post office instead of being delivered directly to your mailbox or doorstep. This can help reduce the risk of package theft, missed deliveries, weather exposure, or signature-required packages being left without a signature being properly collected.
When this option is selected, USPS will hold your package at the destination post office for pickup. You’ll simply bring a valid photo ID to claim it once it arrives. This service is especially helpful for high-value orders, precious metals, collectible coins, Goldbacks, gold nuggets, and limited-edition products. Many customers prefer Hold for Pickup over Signature Services because it gives them direct control over when and how their package is received.
Choose Hold for Pickup for added peace of mind, particularly in areas where packages may be left unattended or where signature deliveries are not always handled consistently.
Note: This service is not available if you choose First-Class Mail letter/envelope as a shipping option.
