What Is a Blind Box?
A blind box is a factory-sealed package containing one randomly selected collectible. The packaging does not reveal which character, design, or rarity tier is inside, so the exact foil remains a mystery until the box is opened. Every X-Men ’97 Heroes blind box contains one individually numbered 5-gram precious-metal foil from one of the four tiers below.
Design & Details
The color-finished foils capture the unmistakable visual style of X-Men ’97 through bold backgrounds, dynamic character artwork, and the heroes’ iconic costumes. Tier 1 presents the primary artwork for each X-Man, while Tier 2 features a different character image through a scarcer alternate-art treatment.
The engraved tiers remove the color finish and allow the character artwork and background details to emerge entirely through the precious metal. Tier 3 is fully engraved in .999 pure silver, while the ultimate chase recreates each hero in fully engraved .999 pure gold. Only 20 gold foils exist for each character.
