This smaller, introductory bag has a lot in common with our Quarter Gram bag but for a lower price. Every bag is still guaranteed to have genuine gold, ensuring you strike it rich with each purchase. Each bag guarantees not just flakes, but also a small picker/nugget, bringing you closer to the authentic mining experience.
 
Prospector's Claim paydirt bags are specifically designed for kids and new panners.
 
Our gold paydirt comes from our family gold/platinum claim along the East Fork Lewis River in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest and we mix it with Washington sand to help dry it out. (Both the sand and our paydirt contain naturally occurring placer gold). Because our paydirt is unsearched and we want to guarantee gold in every bag, we source gold directly from miners in Alaska. Every bag also has a small picker.
We add over .10 grams of gold to every bag. About 1 in 10 bags is a bonus bag, with more than double the gold. Bonus bags are intended to replicate the experience of finding a good spot on the river, just like a real gold panning experience.
Wide variety of flake/nugget sizes. The gold typically ranges from #30 mesh to #20 mesh. The majority of the gold is usually pretty chunky, except for some of the fines.
2/10 Difficulty Level - bigger flakes than our other paydirt.
Smaller bag = pan quickly and find the gold fast! (or mix it with dirt from home to extend the experience).
Each bag is between 5-7 oz. in weight. They are very small and are meant for beginners.
